Our Philosophy
Typing speed matters more than most people realize. Knowledge workers spend 4–8 hours a day writing — emails, documents, code, messages. Being a faster, more accurate typist doesn't just feel better. It compounds over a career into thousands of hours saved and ideas expressed more fluidly.
Most typing test sites are either too basic (just a timer and text) or too gamified (badges everywhere, dark patterns pushing you to subscribe). TypeMaster aims to thread the needle: rich enough to be genuinely useful, clean enough to stay out of your way.
A note on advertising
TypeMaster is and will remain free. We support the platform with contextual advertising on content pages, leaderboards, and dashboards — never inside the typing test itself. Ads are clearly labeled and never deceptive. We'd rather earn your trust than a few extra cents per session.
