What we collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and optionally an OAuth token from GitHub or Google. Guest users have no account data collected.

Typing test results (WPM, accuracy, mode, duration) are stored linked to your account if you are logged in, or in your browser's local storage if you are a guest.

How we use your data

We use your data to display your progress dashboard, power leaderboards, and award achievements. We do not sell personal information to third parties. We do not use your typing input text for any purpose other than scoring your test.

Advertising

TypeMaster uses Google AdSense (or equivalent) to display advertisements on content pages, leaderboards, and dashboards. These ads may use cookies to serve personalized content. You can opt out of personalized ads via Google's Ad Settings.

We never display ads during the active typing test. Ads are clearly labeled as "Advertisement" and placed in non-deceptive positions.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (session management). If AdSense is active, it may set its own cookies for ad personalization. No other tracking cookies are used.

Data retention & deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes all associated results and profile data. Guest local storage data can be cleared in your browser settings.
